Free Masks to Customers

Some businesses nation-wide are requiring employees to wear face masks. And some are handing out free masks to patrons! This is exactly what I said I would do if I had a retail store so I could keep the doors open. Such is an example of one of many possible options that should have been available instead of a nanny-state force closing. And what an awesome way to show your customers how valuable they are!

Are they taking away from medical personnel’s PPE? No! But just wait, there will be an article about how they might be, likely with absolutely no evidence other than the opinion of a "chosen" expert.

I've commented early on how wearing masks in public will help slow the spread of COVID-19. I also criticized the CDC, and Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Jerome Adams, the Surgeon General, for saying wearing masks won't help slow the spread and that wearing them will take supplies from healthcare workers who need them (I hope people saw the contradiction).

So, we listened to bad medical advice that negatively impacted the lives of over 300 million people. What a malpractice suit that would be!

The argument about knowing how to wear them was irrelevant because that was about respirators, and the referred to masks are not respirators. Respirators require a fit test. In short, a person is tested for what size respirator they should wear to produce an airtight seal, and the process is trial and error. The masks we could have been wearing from the beginning are cheap, simple material-based with elastic straps that are incapable of an airtight seal.

Now the tables have turned, and people are wearing masks. America has, like I said we would, become creative and found ways to wear masks that didn’t detract from healthcare supplies. This included making masks, whether material-based or 3D printed.

And, now Fauci and the CDC are recommending wearing masks.
