Be Careful - Experts May Not Be (Do Your Homework)
Remember
how some articles have downplayed the benefits of taking vitamins to help boost
the body’s ability to fight the Coronavirus? Some even interviewed “experts”
who said you should be getting your nutrition from the food you eat. Did you
know that advice is nearly two decades old and has been reversed by the American
Medical Association? I bet you haven’t heard.
For
me, it was an argument I had with a medical doctor friend back around the year 2001.
A couple of years later the Journal of the AMA published scientific review
articles reversing that view and recommended everyone supplement their nutrition
with a multivitamin. I was pleased to share this with my friend.
The point of this post is that to really be informed, we need to realize experts may not be. Perhaps at one time, but are obsolete. We should be willing to do our homework. This may require we be less-inclined to snap judge and quickly draw conclusions from the news.
